Woodbury is a hamlet in Oyster Bay. Woodbury is home to other hamlets including Highland Mills and Central Valley created in 1889. The area went through quite a few changes prior to its incorporation in 1889 at one time being a part of Goshen.
Woodbury is served by the Monroe – Woodbury Central School District with five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The area offers luxury hotels, professional buildings, fine dining, recreational areas, catering halls, and many shopping opportunities.
The major attractions in the area include Tilles Center for Performing Arts, Adventure Land Amusement Park, and the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The most popular of all is the Bethpage State Park which has hosted the PGA tour and the USGA tour. The coliseum is the host of the New York Saints Lacrosse, New York Dragons Football, and the New York Islanders Hockey along with hosting a wide array of events including concerts.
